Nile in flood by the Giza pyramids, October 31, 1927 For millennia before the completion of the Aswan High Dam in 1970, the Nile flooded yearly, inundating acres of land, often up to the edge of the Giza Plateau. “This view shows a rower northeast of the Great Pyramid, Now that the annual inundation has ceased, “this image is a rarity from a bygone era, and the placid floodwaters cover an area that is choked today with roads and high-rise apartment buildings.” There is magic in black and white photos well, i thinking that posting topics again like this (old photos and story) what do you think?

コシャリ

エジプトでご飯といえばコシャリ．

炊いた白米（ジャポニカ米を使う）に茹でたスパゲティ（パスタならなんでもよい），茹でたレンズ豆とひよこ豆，玉ねぎとトマトのソースをのっけて，フライドオニオンとクミンパウダーをトッピングし，オリーブ油やお酢をかけてぐじゃぐじゃかき混ぜて食べる．

Cookpadにいくつかレシピが載っていたのでリンクする．☆エジプト庶民食☆かんたんコシャリはパプリカを除けば現地の味にかなり近そう．エジプト庶民の味★コシャリは1階のご飯と2階のスパゲティを，現地でよく食べられている通称「そば飯」に置き換えた感じで，これもあり．エジプトご飯コシャリは「本場のものをぐっと手軽に簡略化してみました。いわゆる『もどき』です。本格派の方には平にご容赦。」とあるけれど，むしろこちらのほうが本場に近い気がする．
